To enhance the quality of life in the community by being the leader in providing quality, cost effective mental and spiritual health care through counseling, training, consultation and prevention.
Core Beliefs
We at Valley Pastoral Counseling Center believe that the core of helpful and meaningful psychotherapy is the relationship between the client and the therapist. We are “relationship therapists” who believe that without basic care, support, acceptance, and nonjudgmental positive regard, healing cannot take place deep within the self of the client. Therefore we seek to provide a safe, secure, and confidential relationship where healing, insight, and self-awareness can occur.
Confidentiality
VPCC Counselors adhere to their professional Codes of Ethics in addition to state laws related to privileged communication and confidentiality.
Accreditation
VPCC is an Institutional Affiliate of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors, and the only accredited center of its kind in the Shenandoah Valley. Staff members are accredited by the AAPC and/or licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
