Begun in 1980 the Valley Pastoral Counseling Center is a non-profit interfaith pastoral counseling center serving the mental health needs of the Shenandoah Valley.
VPCC is an affiliate center of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors, and is one of 100 such centers in the United States.
Our primary focus is psychotherapy and counseling for individuals, couples, families, adolescents, children, and groups. We provide both long-term and short-term treatment for the full range of emotional problems ranging from mild anxiety and depression to severe mental illness. We cooperate with local physicians, psychiatrists, and hospitals when medication and/or hospitalization are appropriate for treatment.
We specialize in providing spiritually sensitive psychotherapy to the members of various faith communities and congregations of the Valley, including church leaders, clergy, and their families. Beyond the religious community we provide comprehensive mental health services to the entire Shenandoah Valley community.
Our therapists consist of pastoral counselors, licensed professional counselors, licensed marriage and family therapists, and licensed clinical social workers who each have their own specialties and areas of expertise.
